1. Data controller

2. What data we process and why
- Using the website: IP address, browser and device information, recorded in server logs. Purpose: operating, securing and protecting the website from attacks (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Statistics: Google Analytics collects information about visits, e.g. pages visited, approximate location and type of device. Only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Advertising: ads are displayed by OptAd360 Sp. z o.o. together with advertising partners. Personalised ads and their measurement require your consent, which you give in the privacy window on your first visit. Without consent, non-personalised ads may be displayed.
- Comments: name or nickname, email address (not published), comment content, IP address and date. Purpose: publishing and moderating comments (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We store data for as long as the comment remains published.
- Email contact: data provided in the message. Purpose: replying to the message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies and browser storage
- Essential: remembering your privacy choices, data in the comment form (if you tick this option) and the light or dark appearance setting of the site.
- Statistical and advertising: stored only with your consent.
- You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Privacy button visible on the site. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
4. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf or as separate controllers:
- OVH (the server hosting the website),
- Cloudflare (fast delivery of the website and protection against attacks and spam),
- Google (Analytics, the privacy consent window, the Google News sources button, email),
- OptAd360 and its advertising partners (serving and measuring ads),
- Automattic (Gravatar – profile pictures next to comments, generated based on an encrypted email address).
Content from other services embedded in articles (e.g. posts from X or videos from YouTube) loads from their servers and is subject to those services’ privacy policies.
Some providers (e.g. Google, Cloudflare) may process data outside the European Economic Area. This is done based on a decision of the European Commission (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected, deleted or its processing restricted, transfer it, object, and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting earlier processing). You may also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). For these matters, write to kontakt@digitalnexus.pl.
