Warsaw, 19 listopada 2025 r.– Only a day after taking the seat of the Marshal of the Sejm, Vladimir Czarzasty is not waiting for opportunities. On Wednesday, he signed two controversial regulations that already electrify political Poland:total ban on the sale of alcohol within the Sejm(since 24 November) andrevolution in the settlement of parliamentary kilometres(since 1 January 2026). "We must set an example for society," explains the leader of the Left.
Alcohol Out – The Sejm goes to detox
During a press conference in the Parliament, Czarzasty read and signed Order No 7 in front of journalists:
"The sale of alcoholic beverages in buildings and in areas remaining on the board of the Chancellery of the Sejm is banned".
The ban includes restaurants, bars and parliamentary shops. It will enter into force by Monday – 24 November 2025. Why not right away?
– You have to order your supplies in the restaurant and change all entries in the menu – explained the marshal.
Black underlines the symbolic dimension of the decision:
"It is difficult to get Poles to ban the sale of alcohol at gas stations or at night, if we drink beer after the session. As a state institution we must set an example."
