Presidents discussed Poland's support for Ukraine in the context of Russian aggression, Polish contribution to the reconstruction of Ukraine and the competitiveness of Ukrainian agriculture. Particular attention has been paid to historical issues, including the call for the start of exploration and exhumation work in Volyn. President Nawrocki assured further support for Ukraine, stressing that "today's visit is good information for Warsaw, Kiev and the entire region, and bad information for the Russian Federation".
After the presidential part, Zelenski went to parliament. Around 13:15 he began a visit to the Sejm, where he met with the Marshal of the Sejm Vladimir Czarzasty and the Marshal of the Senate Margaret Kidawa-Błońska. A visit to the Senate was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The highlight of the day was an afternoon meeting with Prime Minister Donald Tuski at 3:45 pm in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Council of Ministers.
The visit takes place in the context of an analysis of the 20-point peace plan by Ukraine, the US and the European countries, which could lead to a ceasefire. The Presidents stressed the need for further cooperation in the face of the ongoing conflict with Russia, with an emphasis on regional security and bilateral relations.
