From 1 October 2026, honored blood donors and transplant donors will be able to park for free in the Payment Parking Zone in Łódź.
Local councillors adopted a resolution that introduces a zero rate of parking subscription for this group of people.
Who will benefit from relief?
Free parking is granted to persons who have:
- card Deserved Honorary Blood Donor First Degree (women after giving 15 liters of blood, men after giving 18 liters),
- card Deserved Transplant Donor.
Additional condition: the person must settle income tax in Łódź.
The subscription covers one designated vehicle and is valid for two years. After that, a new application will have to be submitted.
How do I get a free subscription?
The document can be produced:
- via the internet – in the city e-shop of the Pay Parking Zone,
- personally at the headquarters of the Road and Transport Board at 36 Tuwima Street.
Background
The draft resolution came from the environment of motorized boaters and gained the support of the city authorities. Vice President Tomasz Piotrowski emphasized that it is a form of honouring people who regularly donate blood and save the lives of others.
The new regulations come into force on October 1, 2026.
