Polish combat drones are entering the game! Donald Tusk, during a visit to the Air Force Technical Institute (ITWL), proudly showcased the latest example of our technology – “small but crazy”, a fully Polish drone ready for action.

Donald Tusk’s presentation at ITWL is not just a spectacular gesture but a signal of a strategic shift – we are investing more and more money in Polish military solutions rather than foreign purchases. The Prime Minister stressed: “we have Polish technology!” – devices that observe, strike, defend and reconnoitre are increasingly being built at home, not beyond its borders.

Air Force Technical Institute: modern made in Poland
ITWL in Warsaw is not an accidental place to present the new drone. The Institute is the main R&D centre of the Ministry of National Defence implementing the most advanced technologies – from drones, through protection systems, to military support tools. It draws on expert cooperation with technical universities, the military and Polish companies.
Goal: Poland’s security and self-reliance
Modern drones are not just prestige – they are real security in an increasingly unpredictable world. Since January, when the threat of Russian sabotage intensified, protecting borders and rapidly developing the Polish defence industry has become the government’s priority. Key actions:
- Nearly 5% of GDP currently allocated to defence – we are leaders in NATO!
- Rapid equipping of the army with modern Polish unmanned systems
- Legal changes that will allow drones to enter service faster
- Creating centres for the development of defence technologies
Future: Polish drones – an export success?
If the current pace is maintained, Poland will become the regional leader in combat drones. This is not only support for the army, but also an impulse for the domestic industry, science and innovation.
