A 29-year-old resident of the Gryfin County was immortalized on the film during an act of violence against the dog. The man approached the lying animal, grabbed it, and threw it on the asphalt road surface. The video of this event quickly became viral, causing widespread outrage and pressure on the immediate response of the services.
After accepting a notification by the Gryfin County Police Department and securing video evidence, the 29-year-old was arrested. The prosecutor accused him of committing a crime of abuse with particular cruelty over an animal. In connection with the act, police supervision was applied to the man and the ban on the admission and possession of pets during the course of proceedings. The law provides in this case a penalty for 5 years imprisonment.
According to information provided by the Lower Silesian Animal Protection Inspectorate, the dog had an owner and fortunately did not suffer permanent physical injury, although severe shock and stress were caused in the animal.
