The scandal in ZUS
An experienced worker who has been complaining of persistent headaches and migraines for months has been injured - symptoms have subsided while on leave or out of work. Internal control confirmed the validity of the application and disciplinary proceedings were initiated against four inspectors.
How did the poisoning happen?
According to forensics, colleagues were dumping a chemical into the sugar. The motivations were surprisingly banal – the victim did not like the atmosphere in the room, and the conflict began to rise in June. Such office conflicts, though seemingly innocent, sometimes lead to dramatic consequences.

ZUS and DA's reactions
On September 25, ZUS officially notified the D.A. of a suspected crime. The company authorities issued a communication which highlighted that they were shocked by the scale of the incident and implemented immediate procedures to check the safety of workers.
What's the threat to the perpetrators?
The proceedings are carried out with Article 160 of the Criminal Code – human exposure to the direct danger of loss of life or serious injury to health.The sentence of imprisonment is three years.If proven guilty, inspectors may also lose their job and their professional rights.
