On March 18, 2026, the police in Białystok published a message about a shocking incident in one of the parishes. 33-year-old male, recorded on CCTV, desecrated the altar and the Tabernacle. The parish priest reported the case after the escalation of aggression.

A parish priest came to the police station. The vicar noted the surveillance of a hooded man in an empty church. He went to the altar, gestured towards the painting "The Last Supper", spit on the tablecloth, grabbed the cross and threw it into the Tabernacle, then fled, spreading leaflets.
It's not the first time. From September to December 2025, the same 33-year-old spit on the altar, leaving letters full of hatred for God and the Church. The parish priest was initially silent, hoping to calm down, but aggression grew.

The district detective recognized the perp from the footage. A 33-year-old Bialystochan was arrested at the place of residence. He heard two allegations of images of religious feelings from Art. 196 KK – he is facing up to 2 years in prison.
Police from the police station "Two" analyzed the surveillance. The unsub acted during the day when the church was empty.
