Officers from the Police District Command in Legionowo immediately detained a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen who beat two coworkers – a man and a woman – badly at the construction site in Janówek. The assailant used a metal tube, hitting the victims in the face until they passed out.
The event occurred on Monday 27 July after 22.00 p.m., just after finishing work on one of the construction plots. According to police findings, a 44-year-old boy for no apparent reason attacked a colleague at work first, hitting him with a metal tube in the face. When a frightened woman tried to intervene and pull the aggressor away, he turned against her and began brutally beating her face. Both victims were unconscious and required medical attention.
The unsub escaped immediately from the scene. Criminals from the Legion command quickly began operations. Already the next day they tracked and detained a 44-year-old Ukrainian citizen in the territory of Nowy Dwór Mazowieckie. The man was put in police custody.
At the request of the Police Chief in Wieliszew, supported by the District Attorney's Office in Legionowo, the court applied a three-month interim detention to the suspect. The prosecution in Legionowo conducts the proceedings. Aggressor is facing a long term prison sentence.
