Tragic accident w Ziębicach wstrząsnął całą Polską. 21 grudnia 2025 roku młoda para zginęła na przejeździe kolejowym, osierocając dwuletnią córeczkę. Minęły miesiące, a rogatki wciąż zawodzą – mieszkańcy boją się kolejnej katastrofy.
What happened in the Coldies?

On December 21, around 11:00 a.m. at Przemysłowa Kia Street with a young married couple entered the Prague-Gdynia relationship train. The impact force was enormous – Iwona and Krystian died at the scene. PKP PLK confirmed: fixed toads raised, signaling failed.
Świadek zdarzenia relacjonował w TVN: „Myślałem, że to sen. Auto po prostu wjechało na tory”. Public Prosecutor’s Office i Państwowa Komisja Badania Wypadków Kolejowych wszczęły śledztwo. Wstępne testy wykazały usterki czujników.
Repairs after tragedy – promises without effect?

PKP PLK reacted quickly. After the accident, the old sensors were dismantled and new ones were installed. Train speed was raised from 20 to 60 km/h, signaling passed the test with the track.
However, on March 19, 2026, the inhabitants again alarmed. The picture on the network shows the car before the crossing, the red lights flash, the train drives – and the hornets open! This raises questions: were the repairs superficial?
Residents complain about chronic failures. "Like in an old watch – it works a week, then it stands" comments one of them in local media.
Why are the Toads still failing?
Category B pass has an automatic system, but older sensors often let go. Experts point to maintenance negligence – similar incidents have occurred before .
Local authorities are announcing meetings with PKP.
