At the last summit on AlaskaPresident Donald Trump personally handed Vladimir Putin a letter from his wife, Melania Trump. The letter focuses on the suffering of children associated with the war in Ukraine and calls on Russia's leader to take steps to end the conflict and protect the innocent.
– Every child in the world dreams of love, hope and safety from danger. As parents, we have a duty to instill hope in them, and as leaders to take care of all children, not only of our own," wrote Melania Trump in her letter.

First lady Melania Trump sends a strong letter to Putin:
"Every child has the same silent dreams in his heart, whether born accidentally in a rural province or in a big city. He dreams of love, opportunities and safety from danger".
"As parents, we have a duty to cultivate the hope of the next generation. As leaders, our responsibility to give children a good life goes beyond the comfort of few."
"There is no doubt that we must strive to create a world of dignity for all – so that every soul can wake up in peace and the future is perfectly protected."

She pointed out that protecting children's innocence was a concern "exceeding geography, government or ideology." Trump's words refer to universal values and transnational needs, using emotions and examples of everyday life – from a child in a village to a resident of a large city.
Anchorage Summit not finished the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Ukraine, but Melania Trump's letter became a loud signal sent to the Kremlin and the public of Europe and the US.
Problem scale:
