Polish thread in Epstein's box – mail about Smolensk

The surprisingly strong and unambiguous voice on the Smolensk disaster came from Jeffrey Epstein himself. On April 12, 2014, he sent a long e-mail to his friends, in which – presenting himself as a Pole – he unparadoxed all conspiracy theories about the assassination. He calls them "aberration", "a picture of the memory of the victims" and "a way to politically exploit the national tragedy". Both Russians ("they would not risk breaking ties with the US to kill an ally") and Tusk camp ("they had no political gain and could lose everything). It compares Smolenian theories to American bitherism about Obama ("absurdal"). He concludes with an appeal that such speculation only hinders national acceptance of tragedy and dishonors the memory of the dead. This is one of the most clear examples of how deeply Epstein engaged in political topics far beyond the US – and how much he stood on the side of the then establishment.

Example mail about Smolensk and Polish thread

Before you start reading, I explain that according to the information on WikipediaJeffrey Epstein considered himself a Pole.

These conspiracy theories are an aberration and an insult to the memory of the victims of the crash, including the dead president himself. As a Pole who is at least aware of the political and economic situation in Poland, and a journalist following global politics and events, I am deeply disappointed with the number of people who are affected by these conspiracy theories, and scientists and specialists promoting such ideas should be ashamed.

Firstly, there is absolutely no evidence that there has been sabotage or deception by the Russians or political allies of the Prime Minister. Such accusations, without any credible evidence, are slanderous.

Ponadto żadna ze stron „oskarżonych” nie zyskałaby na tym kapitału politycznego ani dyplomatycznego… rosyjski rząd niewiele by zyskał – uznanie go winnym zabójstwa głowy państwa byłoby dla niego ogromnym dyplomatycznym wstydem. Kaczyński był jednym z najsilniejszych sojuszników Stanów Zjednoczonych wśród europejskich przywódców i nawetRussia, prowadząca asertywną politykę dyplomatyczną, nie zaryzykowałaby całkowitego zerwania stosunków z USA, zabijając bliskiego sojusznika.

There would also be an international condemnation, and the President – or perhaps even the Prime Minister – would have to give up his position and say goodbye to his political career in the foreseeable future. Yes, "even in Russia".

Similarly, in the case of the Prime Minister's party, if he were actually an accessory to the disaster, it would mean that he or his allies carried out a coup. In addition, an early presidential election will be held in June, which can actually benefit the President's party thanks to the voices of sympathy. The "responsible" presidency is in the hands of his party for only two months... So once again, the Prime Minister and his allies have nothing to gain, and they could potentially lose everything in the June elections.

Conspiracy theories diminish national tragedy
Apart from matters of political gain or loss, conspiracy theories seem to be treated as a way of discovering who is responsible for the tragedy, and thus to administer justice. However, this is not a healthy way of dealing with tragedy. This is not conducive to national or personal healing. What's more, he shames and stains the memory of those who died.

Only diminishes the importance of tragedy and, unfortunately, it can announce what will happen in the upcoming presidential campaign – a tragedy can be used by some groups or individuals to promote their own goals and take over the presidency.

This is not very different from the situation in the United States where conspiracy theorists claim that Barack Obama is not the rightful president because he is not an American citizen, or even a citizen born in the United States. This is not so gruesome, of course, but I think it is still absurd.

The baseless, pointless conspiracy theories simply destroy the ability of Polish people and people to go forward and celebrate the memory of the victims, as well as diminish the tragedy that Poles felt even in such a remote place as Chicago and which was commented with deep sadness and respect by American politicians, from Mayor Daley to President Obama himself. – Jeffrey Epstein 12 April 2014

Let them show you what he wrote to Trump, etc. I'm sure there'll be a politician.

Maybe they'll show how the president in the United States will change after the next election.
