XTB informs about a major change for multicurrency card users. As of 28 September 2025, the conversion ceases to be free, which could affect the cost of foreign transactions.
What does this mean for XTB card holders?
Until now, XTB card users have been able to use the conversion at no extra charge. Now, from the end of September 2025, any transaction requiring a changeover will be charged a new fee. This is an important change, especially for people who often travel or purchase foreign shares.
New rules for conversion – details of fees
The update of the Regulations shows that any transaction with a conversion will be subject to a fee in accordance with the new tariff which is directly sent by the card provider DiPocket UAB. The exact rates and conditions will be available in the updated rules available in the XTB application and on the website.
- Fees for the conversion from 28.09.2025
- The new fee table will be available in the Rules of Procedure
- Information will be sent by DiPocket UAB in a separate email
Why did XTB decide to make such a change?
Multicurrency card companies are often dependent on external payment service providers. The amendment of the Rules of Procedure by DiPocket, an electronic money institution supervised by the Bank of Lithuania, may result from the need to comply with market or regulatory conditions. For customers, this means that the so-far popular free conversion service will become an additional cost.
How to prepare for a change?
XTB customers should read the new rules carefully, which will come by email soon. Worth:
- Follow correspondence from DiPocket and XTB
- Check the details of the conversion fees
- Think about using the card during currency transactions
- Plan alternative solutions if charges are too high
