The great Super Express presidential debate first gathered all candidates for the highest office in the state. Emotions reached out to the zenith, and sharp exchanges and unobvious questions dominated the evening. Here is the second part of our summary – this time with less quoted but equally meaningful statements of candidates.
Candidates about Poland and politics – strong declarations
Liability and independence
- Marek Jakubiak emphasized that "we must come down to the ground and talk about Poland, it does not tolerate lies. Nobody scares anyone. For a year and a half there have been representatives responsible for this government. And today the saints are not responsible for anything."
- Karol Nawrocki consistently stressed the need for a strong army: "Today a strong Polish army must be built, a 300 thousandth army".
Answers to allegations and distances to political "plemion"
- Adrian Zandberg did not dress up in words: "This trough orgy is really obscene."
- Zandberg also asked why the rulers cast positions with party denominations, and Trzaskowski reposted: "I regret one thing that he feared to take matters into his own hands".
Society, the worldview and human rights
Disputes over abortion and women's rights
- Magdalena Biejat hard to Sławomir Mentzen: "You said that rape pregnancies are exceptional hypothetical situations, and that is totally not true. Two years ago in Podlasie, a 14-year-old disabled girl (by her uncle) was raped and needed an abortion [...] Do you maintain that you would be in favour of not having the right to abort?"
- Mentzen replied, "You confirm my words, if something happens once a year, it is indeed an accident and I hope that such cases will be as rare as possible."
Religion, church and secularity of the state
- Joanna Senyszyn asked Karol Nawrocki, "Why will you discriminate against atheists?" and asked about the liquidation of the church fund.
- Nawrocki replied that "it is good that people have their values and that they are able to claim them," and Senyszyn reposted: "The liquidation of the church fund would result in the liquidation of small churches. Those who have several hundred believers."
Economy, taxes and housing
- Magdalena Biejat to Nawrocki: "You said at the beginning of the program that you were against cadastral tax. Last week, you were in favor of it. Do you even understand what your program is? and what the housing crisis is about?"
- Nawrocks: "Poles are terrified that they will have to pay such a tax".
- Biejat: "Most people, especially young people, can at most dream of living," "half people up to 35 years old, worry about how to pay credit".
Hardest clashes and controversy
Foreign policy and security
- Grzegorz Braun: "Do you notice that Jews have too much, far too much to say in Polish matters?" – asked Sławomir Mentzen.
- Mentzen replied: "Yes, I see the problem is that the State of Israel has much more strength than its place on earth, the power of the economy, the strength of its own army. We have repeatedly seen the Polish government implement Israel's policy".
Scandalous statements and reposts
- Grzegorz Braun do Jakubiak: "[...] Pederas rule the capital city of Warsaw".
- Magdalena Biejat to Marek Wocha: "It is outrageous that an anti-Semitic sewer like Grzegorz Braun should pass in this debate without an echo".
Personal touch and irony
- Simon Holovnia to Maciej Maciak: "You don't understand the sense of humor, you don't understand the irony, that's your problem."
- Krzysztof Stanowski to Matiak: "The moment you waited 700 metres from the Republic of TV under my car was a little strange. We need to find out who this man is."
Debate full of emotions and differences
The Super Express debate showed how different candidates differ not only in programs but also in conversation style. From strong words about the economy, through world-viewing disputes, to personal quirks and controversial jokes – every voter could find something that moved or upset him. This clash showed that the 2025 elections would be extremely diverse – both in terms of programs and candidates' personalities.
