Adrian Szymaniak, a participant of the popular show “Married at First Sight”, faces a dramatic diagnosis: a grade IV glioma. Together with his wife Anita, he has launched a fundraiser for costly treatment.
Adrian's Difficult Battle Against a Deadly Disease
Adrian Szymaniak and Anita Szydłowska are one of the few couples who survived the matchmaking experiment of a TV show and for years built a happy family. Unfortunately, Adrian’s recent diagnosis turned their life upside down – a grade IV glioma, a very aggressive brain tumor.
After two surgeries, the tumor still requires intensive therapy. The treatment is expected to cost as much as 3 million zloty and includes specialized therapy in Germany, which is not fully covered by the National Health Fund (NFZ).
Fundraiser: More Than Hope
The recently launched fundraiser is intended to cover treatment costs. On the very first day, more than one million zloty was collected. Public support is enormous, and internet users and viewers of the show are posting comments full of encouragement and prayers.

- Monthly costs: PLN 120 thousand
- Fundraiser goal: PLN 3 million
Adrian lost his job before the diagnosis, and Anita takes care of the children and organizes support. They are unable to cover such enormous treatment costs on their own.

The couple encourages support for this difficult stage of their lives through donations and by sharing information about the fundraiser. In addition, a charity gala and the premiere of a book are planned, the proceeds of which will support Adrian’s treatment.
