Krzysztof Stanowski launched a Zrzutka.pl fundraiser on Saturday evening for police officers injured during the arrest of the attacker at the Main Square (Rynek Główny) in Kraków. After midnight, the amount exceeded one million zloty.
Fundraiser for the “Heroes of Kraków”
The fundraiser is available at zrzutka.pl/bohaterowie. The description reads: “For the heroes of Kraków and their families. For the people who risked everything”. The money is to go to two officers wounded during the arrest of the attacker and to their families. Stanowski, head of Kanał Zero, announced the campaign on X on Saturday, 7 November.

By 8:30 a.m., the fundraiser had already topped 1.5 million zloty.
Pace of Donations
According to Stanowski, after half an hour there was 300,000 zloty in the account. Before midnight, the head of Kanał Zero wrote that half a million had “broken through”, and at 2:00 a.m. he announced that the fundraiser had exceeded one million.
On Sunday, 8 November, the counter showed over 1.5 million zloty in the morning, and donations kept coming in. Stanowski also pointed out a single, exceptionally large donation of 100,000 zloty. He wrote that financial support does not rule out in-kind aid, and appealed: “Let’s donate blood, all across Poland”. He advised checking whether blood donation points were operating in the area on Sunday.
Who the Fundraiser Concerns
Senior Constables Jakub Kulik and Artur Morański took part in the arrest of the attacker. Both were shot. Kulik is in serious condition, and the 6th Airborne Brigade appealed for blood type AB Rh+. We wrote separately about the blood donation appeal for a police officer from Kraków. The attack on the Main Square in Kraków, in which six people died, is being described as a terrorist attack.
