Shocking tragedy under Green Mountain. A 46-year-old truck driver died in a hospital after an attack of three dogs who rushed him in the woods when he took a short walk.
Dramatic attack in the forest under Green Mountain
The tragedy happened on Sunday, 12 October, near ILO Racila on the S3 route. The truck driver, 46-year-old Marcin of Puławy, stopped for a break on the road. He decided to take time off and went to the nearby forest for mushrooms. He was unexpectedly attacked by three large dogs who escaped from a nearby shooting range.
The man still managed to call 911. By the time the paramedics arrived, he was in critical condition. With lacerations to his legs and hands, he was transported to the University Hospital in Zielona Góra.
The Fight for Life and the Tragic Final
The doctors immediately began fighting for his life. The 46-year-old underwent several major surgeries, but his condition remained extremely severe. He also suffered from cooling his body, because he lay in the woods for a long time before help came. Despite the great efforts of the medics, he died Wednesday morning.
