The national defence minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, immediately posted a moving entry on the X platform, emphasizing the professionalism and sacrifice of the fallen and expressing deep sympathy for their families. MON assured that close soldiers were given comprehensive support, both psychological and organizational.

Special Forces – Army elite, risk included in the profession
Polish Special Forces soldiers are among the best trained and most experienced in the entire army. Their daily life often resembles the extreme challenges of athletes, but human life and national security are at stake here. Similarly as a mountain climber is measured at risk on a mountain wall, a soldier is always at higher risk when exercising, even in allied states.
Priority: explaining the circumstances of the tragedy
General Command has appointed a special committee to explain the causes of this dramatic accident. Every detail of the event will be carefully analysed to draw conclusions and minimise the risk of similar situations in the future.
Poland and the USA – Security cooperation
Military training in the US is an important element of Polish-American defence cooperation, which serves to strengthen the security of Poland and the region. The Polish army, increasingly modern and better equipped, constantly participates in training and international missions. A tragic event does not change the priority: the safety of soldiers remains the most important.
