Eight people – five guests and three staff members – safely left the building even before the first fire brigades arrived..

How was the firefight?

After just a few minutes, the site appeared above 30 fire brigades. Firefighters immediately began a difficult fight with fire, which covered empty spaces under the roof of a large-sized hotel – 40 by 30 meters. Actions required the use of thermal cameras to locate hidden fires.

Exceptionally difficult operating conditions

  • The fire was difficult to locate because it developed in free spaces in the attic.

  • Firefighters had to act precisely to prevent the fire from spreading to the lower floors.

  • Cooperation between multiple PSP and TSOs
