Piotr Moczulski from Poland has been in severe condition in Cebu City Hospital in the Philippines since April 2024. What was meant to be a dream vacation ended in a tragic scooter accident and a life struggle.
On April 18, 2024, Peter suffered a serious accident. He suffered extensive internal injuries and brain swelling. Since then, it has been in a vegetative state, breathing through tracheostomy, and being fed by PEG. His family sees minor reactions to his loved ones.
Family costs and drama
The family has spent more than PLN 300 thousandand the debt to the hospital is further PLN 400 thousand. Peter's monthly maintenance is approx. PLN 20 thousand. The cost of medical transport to Poland is estimated at over million PLN (approx. EUR 270 000).
Despite numerous family calls, Polish government and state administration have not taken any concrete actionto help bring Peter back to the country.
Comparison with the case of Claudia
The fact that only a few weeks ago the Ministry of Defence sent a special one aeroplane military after a 24-year-old Uciechowska Claude from Wałbrzych, who was stuck in a hospital in China. In the case of Peter, despite a similar dramatic situation, such help has not yet been received.
The family launched a collection on the Siepomag platform and has been fighting for the return of his son to Poland for over a year, where he would have had a chance for specialist rehabilitation.
