On Tuesday evening, there was a dangerous attack on the capital of Wola – a Ukrainian citizen wounded a Pole with a knife and attacked a woman accompanying him.
What happened on Wola?
At about 8:00 p.m. outside the shop on Okopowa Street, a quarrel broke out between three people. In its course 34-year-old Ukrainian citizen He attacked a 39-year-old Pole with a dangerous instrument, wounding him in the stomach. The man went to the hospital, but his life is not in danger. Unfortunately, it was not the end – the attacker also hit a 38-year-old woman standing next to her.
Wola police arrived very quickly. Just an hour after the incident, they stopped the unsub. According to the findings, at the time of the arrest, he had almost 1.5-promilium alcohol in the body.
Investigations and allegations
The officers immediately commenced activities to clarify the circumstances and motives of the incident. Two charges have been filed against the perpetrator:
- Infringement of body function over seven days (Article 157 par. 1 k.)
- Infringement of body function less than seven days (Article 157 par. 2 k.)
In recent months, several violent incidents have occurred in Wola. However, most of them are of a casual nature and are due to individual conflicts or drunkenness of participants. Warsaw police remind us of:
- Every case of crime is reported and investigated,
- The injured Pole received immediate medical assistance,
- The perpetrator will be brought to justice for his actions.
