Remember evenings spent on Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, the shout of “MULTI KILL!” in your headset and the medic who was always too far away? Polska Vodka, the most popular Polish server from the days when ET ruled internet cafés and home dial-up connections, is back. The game is free, runs on modern computers, and getting back in takes just ten minutes.
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory debuted in 2003 as a free team-based shooter and for many players in Poland it was their first real online game for years. Allies vs. Axis, five character classes, objectives to blow up, a tank to escort, and servers where you knew everyone by their nick. For me, one of those places was Polska Vodka, a server I created with friends more than a decade ago. It buzzed with life, had its own ranks, its own music and its own regulars. Then, as happens, life moved on.

Today Polska Vodka is running again at graj.pvet.pl. It returns without the old WolfekET.pl project, but with the same spirit: public, relaxed, with Polish humour and the atmosphere of old servers, where you just jumped in “for a few maps” and ended up staying until dawn.
Enemy Territory in 2026? Yes, and it runs better than ever
The biggest worry for people returning after years is: “surely it won’t run on a new computer”. It will. In 2010 the source code of Enemy Territory was released under an open licence, and the community built ET: Legacy on it – a free, still-developed version of the game with a modern engine. It runs on Windows, Linux, Steam Deck and Macs, including those with Apple M1–M4 processors. The gameplay has stayed the same, but the old problems with resolution, sound and security are gone.
The ET: Legacy installer downloads the original game files itself, so there’s no need to hunt for an old disc or archives from forums. Then all you need to do is open the console and type one command.
What awaits on the Polska Vodka server
The new Polska Vodka is not a museum. From the start, the server was designed so that returning players feel at home and new ones aren’t left alone on an empty map.
- XP Save – your experience stays forever. Levels and points don’t disappear when you leave the server or change maps. Come back after a week and carry on where you left off.
- Ranks for playing, not for connections. After earning 20,000 XP you automatically get the rank of Veteran, and after 50,000 XP – Elite. The most persistent players will be rewarded with the legendary Captain Bomba for one million experience points.
- Bots 24/7. There’s always someone to play with, even at 7 a.m. Bots make way for people when more players join the server.
- Over 70 maps with voting. Goldrush, Supply, Radar, Oasis, Adlernest, Fueldump, Braundorf and many more, plus seasonal maps, including Christmas ones. Players vote on the next map.
- Fast, dynamic gameplay. 10-second respawn, no friendly fire, double jump, and the fun PANZERWAR mode on the Baserace map.
- Old-school atmosphere in sound. Classic killing spree announcements, entrance music depending on your rank, Polish voice commands and bots with Polish names. Anyone who played on public servers a decade ago will recognise it within the first minute.
- Fair play. The server has active administration and automatic statistics analysis that catches suspicious results.

A server you can see even outside the game
In the past, you found out who was playing from the server list or from GG. Today Polska Vodka has its own portal pvet.pl, where you can see at any moment who is on the server and what map is currently running. There is also a live stream from a camera that follows the most interesting action in the game around the clock – you can take a look from your phone before you turn on your computer.
The portal also runs a player ranking with experience, levels, kills and completed objectives, a catalogue of all maps with descriptions, and guides: how to install the game on a Mac or Windows, how to set sharp graphics, and what to do when the pak0 file is missing. The best moments from the server are posted daily as short clips on the YouTube Polska Vodka ET channel and the WolfekET.pl on Facebook fan page. There’s a chance your frag will appear in one of them.
The community meets on the Polska Vodka Discord. There you can link your account to your in-game profile, get notifications when a game starts, call the team together for shared maps and keep up with server changes.
Traffic has been visible from the first days. Within two weeks of the launch in mid-October 2026, over 150 players had appeared in the ranking, and on the busiest days more than 40 different people joined the server per day. They include both veterans from the old days and people discovering ET for the first time.
Returning to the game after years – step by step
- Download ET: Legacy from etlegacy.com/download and choose the version for your system (Windows, macOS or Linux). The game is free.
- Launch the game and set your nick. You can create a coloured nick in the old style with the nick generator.
- Open the console (Shift + Esc or the ~ key) and type:
/connect graj.pvet.pl. Missing maps will download automatically. - Add the server to favourites (Esc → Favorite) and back up the
etkeyfile – it makes sure your XP is always assigned to you.

Frequently asked questions
Is Enemy Territory free?
Yes. Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory has been a free game from the start, and ET: Legacy is its free, open-source continuation. There are no fees or microtransactions on the Polska Vodka server.
Will my old profile and XP from the past work?
The old servers no longer exist, so everyone starts from scratch – veterans and newcomers on equal terms. From now on, however, every experience point you earn is saved permanently thanks to XP Save.
What if nobody is on the server?
Then bots are playing, so you can always jump onto a map and warm up your aim. If the server doesn’t appear in the in-game list, turn off the filter showing only servers with players, or connect directly with the command /connect graj.pvet.pl.
Can I play on a Mac?
Yes, ET: Legacy has a native macOS version, including for computers with Apple Silicon processors. Details are in the guide on pvet.pl.
See you at the front
Enemy Territory was never just a game. It was nicks known from the ranking, clans, shared evenings and conversations that went on long after the last map. Polska Vodka is returning so that all of this has a place to happen again. If you once played ET, or perhaps even on Polska Vodka, now is a good time to come back. If you’ve never played, all the more reason to try.
