Ryszard Szoltysik retired on December 27, 2025. He was a figure well known in the Wrocław environment, especially among sports enthusiasts. As a sports editor, PTV Echo was famous for broadcasting slag and football matches that attracted numerous spectators. His passion for sports and charisma made him the icon of local television.
Szoltysik also had an acting episode. He was known for his role as a sports editor in the 2000 television series „Świat według Kiepskich”. He appeared, among others, in episode 24. "Golden Goal". Although his filmography was not rich, this creation was remembered by fans of popular Polsat production.

PTV Echo, with whom he had been associated for years, published a heartwarming farewell: "We deeply regret to inform you that on December 27, 2025, our echoludek, Rysiu Szoltysik, has gone forever.
