Richard Szoltysik is dead. Wrocław journalist and actor known for „Świat według Kiepskich”

At the age of 75, Ryszard Szoltysik, a valued sports journalist, actor and co-writer of PTV Echo's first private television station in Wrocław, died. Information about his death was transmitted the day after the tragic event, on Sunday, December 28, via social media PTV Echo.

Ryszard Szoltysik retired on December 27, 2025. He was a figure well known in the Wrocław environment, especially among sports enthusiasts. As a sports editor, PTV Echo was famous for broadcasting slag and football matches that attracted numerous spectators. His passion for sports and charisma made him the icon of local television.

Szoltysik also had an acting episode. He was known for his role as a sports editor in the 2000 television series „Świat według Kiepskich”. He appeared, among others, in episode 24. "Golden Goal". Although his filmography was not rich, this creation was remembered by fans of popular Polsat production.

The news of Szoltysik's death caused sadness in the journalistic and acting environment. PTV Echo, with whom he had been associated for years, published a heartwarming farewell: "We deeply regret to inform you that on December 27, 2025, our echoludek, Rysiu Szoltysik, has gone forever. He only survived 75 years." His associates mention him as a person full of energy and devoted to his work.

Ryszard Szoltysik left his legacy in the form of pioneering activities in local media. As co-writer of PTV Echo, he contributed to the development of independent television in Poland after systemic transformation. Details of the funeral or the cause of death were not made public.
