We already know the minimum salary for 2027

The government has submitted an official proposal for a minimum wage for 2027. The lowest national is expected to be PLN 4986 gross per month and the minimum hourly rate is PLN 32.60.

Currently (in 2026) the minimum salary is PLN 4806 gross. This means an increase of PLN 180, i.e. by about 3.7%.

What exactly did the government propose?

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy recommends the following amounts to the Council of Ministers from January 2027:

  • Minimum remuneration for work: PLN 4986 gross
  • Minimum hourly rate (on contract and on work): PLN 32.60 gross

The proposed amount represents exactly 50% of the estimated average remuneration in the national economy in 2027 (which is to be PLN 9971).

What's next?

The proposal will now go to the Social Dialogue Council, where negotiations will be held with trade unions and employers' organisations. The final minimum salary for 2027 must be announced by the government to September 15, 2026.

It is worth to add that in recent years the minimum salary increases were much higher (even several hundred zlotys per year). By 2027 growth will be much more moderate.

What does this mean in practice?

For people earning a minimum national salary, this means a higher salary "on hand" – estimated by approximately PLN 130-140 net per month (depending on reductions and contributions). For employers are additional costs, especially in sectors where the minimum salary is common (trade, catering, services, protection).

What do you think the minimum salary should be in 2027? Let me know in the comment.
