A new era in Polish politics. On August 6, Karol Nawrocki solemnly swore an oath before the National Assembly and officially took office as President of the Republic of Poland.


Swearing ceremony – what did the ceremony look like?

The National Assembly met on time at 10:00 p.m. in the plenary room of the Sejm. Karol Nawrocki appeared with his wife Marta, and in the hall were former presidents, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, MPs, Senators and invited guests. Among those present were representatives of the diplomatic corps, local authorities and clergy. The whole started with singing the anthem and the traditional speech of Marshal Simon Holown.

The event was attended, among others, by outgoing President Andrzej Duda with her spouse, former President Aleksander Kwasniewski and Bronisław Komorowski, as well as many politicians
