President Karol Nawrocki announced the end of social support for non-employed Ukrainians in Poland, announcing a sharp stance towards flagplantation and changes in citizenship principles.
End of society for non-working Ukrainians
The President stressed that the payment of the 800+ benefit should be granted only to those Ukrainians who have taken up work in Poland or are active in economic activity here. This means moving away from solutions introduced after the outbreak of the war, which enabled wide access to social assistance. – "First Poland, first Poles" – declared Nawrocki.
Correction example: provision of 800+
- So far entitled: all Ukrainian citizens legally residing in Poland
- After the changes: only persons working or doing business
- Some politicians have repeatedly called for such a solution, but only a presidential veto paved the way for him
Signed and vetoed laws
In recent days, the president has examined eight laws, five of which he signed and three vetoed.
Signed laws:
- Two Teacher's Card Act
- Natural Fertiliser Storage Act

Flag Stop

- Comparing flag symbols with Nazi and Communist symbols in the penal code

- Objective: to eliminate Russian propaganda, Polish-Ukrainian partnership based on respect
Social justification for changes

Comment by Prime Minister Donald Tusk
Unfortunately Prime Minister Donald Tusk has not yet publicly commented on the new proposals of President Karol Nawrocki. Fortunately, in the X archive (formerly Twitter), his archival entry was preserved in which he supported the idea of restrictions in 800+ for foreigners during the presidential campaign.
