This means that at the time of the act, the man was able to understand its significance and control his conduct. As a result, he will be prosecuted under the normal criminal procedure, without the possibility of invoking insanity.
The case concerns the tragic death of Maja, which occurred in a workshop belonging to Bartosz G.’s family. Earlier, the media had speculated about the suspect’s mental state.
The expert opinion, however, dispels these doubts. The investigation is ongoing. Bartosz G. remains in custody. He faces up to 30 years in prison, because he was not yet an adult at the time the crime was committed.
