The Main Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) has announced the recall of a batch of BRAIN WASH dietary supplement, in which the psychoactive substance THC was detected. GIS warns consumers not to eat the product from the indicated batch.
Which product the notice concerns
According to the GIS notice, as reported by Interia, the product is the BRAIN WASH dietary supplement in the form of hemp gummies with a multi-fruit flavor, with added vitamin C, in a 100 g package.

- Best before date: 07.08.2027
- Manufacturer/distributor: DR JOINT sp. z o.o., ul. Prymasa Stefana Wyszyńskiego 1B, 62-800 Kalisz
The warning applies only to this batch. GIS states: „Do not consume the batch of the product specified in this notice”.
How the THC was detected
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) was detected as a result of an official inspection by the State Sanitary Inspection (PIS). Experts from the National Institute of Public Health NIH – National Research Institute assessed that consuming the product, given the THC content found, may pose a health risk. As Interia reported, the notice did not specify the amount of THC detected in the product.
Actions taken by the manufacturer and inspectorate
The manufacturer has suspended sales of the product in question and begun withdrawing it from the market. Bodies of the State Sanitary Inspection are conducting explanatory proceedings in this matter.
This is not the first GIS warning about products on sale – in June we wrote about glasses in which lead and cadmium were detected.
What it means for consumers
People who bought BRAIN WASH gummies should check the batch number on the packaging (0708BW06O) and the date 07.08.2027. If they match, the product should not be eaten. The gummies are colorful and may attract children, so it is worth keeping the packaging out of their reach. A person who ate the product and feels unwell should contact a doctor or the emergency number 112. Refunds should be arranged with the seller or the manufacturer.
