The death threat to President Nawrocki? Morawiecki alarms

The network came after a controversial entry on platform X, which can be interpreted as a criminal threat to the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki. Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki publicly called the service to react immediately, comparing the situation to the attack on Jurek Owsiak.

Start of the incident: Poland-Netherlands Match and Mistake?

It all started with the innocent entry of the official account of the Polish Football Union "We are bound by the ball" (@LaczyNasPilka). During a match between Poland and the Netherlands as part of the UEFA League of Nations, the account reported: "The Polish President Karol Nawrocki is present at the match against the Netherlands. @President". The entry quickly gained popularity, but not because of sports emotions. Under it there was a comment by the user about the nickname "bucc" (@sent...), decorated with flags of Poland, Russia, Palestine, the European Union and the rainbow flag LGBTQ+. Content: "See you, Charles 😘"and the attached photo of a gun pointed at someone's legs in the car.

The match held on 14 November 2025 was part of the elimination for the World Cup or the continuation of the League of Nations – fans focused on pitching events, but the Internet quickly focused on politics.

Threat or joke? Network reactions

The "bucc" entry was quickly interpreted as a threat of death or at least intimidation. The user, associated with the slogan "Power Together" (related to the Civic Coalition), removed the account after a wave of comments. Internet users reported the matter to the police in mass, and portals such as inPoliticy.pl and Independent.pl wrote about a "real threat". One of the posts on X read: "One of the strong together posted a photo with a gun to him quoting Nawrocki is at the game and signed "see you, Charles." Another user, Max Hübner, appealed: "All the hateful sect bred on behalf of Tusk by Giertych, who is systematically supported by the government, must be investigated."

There were also some voices that underestimated the matter, like "I don't see any threats but a photo and a desire to meet." However, most commentators demanded the intervention of the services, pointing to double standards in the treatment of threats to politicians.

Morawiecki enters action

Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, currently PiS MP and Head of the European Conservative and Reformist Party (ECR), did not wait long. In his tweet, he wrote: "There are more hours and there is no stopping. Is the service only effective if someone threatens the Pork? It's time to react!". The reference to Jerzy Owsiak, the head of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, concerned the rapid reaction of police to threats against him in the past. Morawiecki, who in 2025 remains an active critic of the Donald Tusk government, suggested that the services may be biased.

His entry gathered thousands of likes and reps, fueling the debate on the security of politicians.

Official Police Communication

The police have issued an official announcement of the initiation of the case. It noted that the photograph had already been published on the Internet.

The Police Headquarters immediately after obtaining information related to the entry on the "X" platform took action in this case. They remain in progress. With regard to the photograph itself, which was used in this post – the photograph was previously published in a different context on other websites and social networking sites.
