Catherine Mensah, Gynecologist, Medical and Popular Educator influencer, strongly defends high rates for private visits. Price statement PLN 1000 per consultation caused a storm on the Internet and heated the discussion about the earnings of doctors in Poland.
Mensah explicitly stated that such a rate is justified:
"Pays for several years of science, experience, thousands of treatments."
Her words came in the context of the ongoing debate on the earnings of physicians, queues on the NFZ and rising prices of private services.
What is worth knowing about?
Mensah combines doctoral work with educational activities in social media. It regularly publishes content on women's health, gynecology, contraception, pregnancy and prevention. Thanks to this, she built a large number of followers who value her for a direct, often controversial style of communication.
A PLN 1000 speech for the visit was made in the context of the ongoing debate on doctor's earnings. Mensah argued that such a price was justified:
"This is the price for several years of science, experience and thousands of treatments carried out."

As a doctor with an 18-year stint, I have to step in.
We're just entitled to high wages. It is not just a job – it is 6 years of hard studies, then specialization, on-calls, continuous learning, responsibility for human life and zero margin for error. Anyone who hasn't been through this will never understand.
And the doctor in the article is actually a fantastic woman and a great specialist. Instead of hating her, you should appreciate that there are still people in this country who still manage at this level. A great respect for her
