Who Was Major Maciej “Slab” Krakowian?
Maciej Krakowian, known as “Slab”, was one of the most recognisable Polish F-16 fighter pilots and the leader of the Tiger Demo Team. He began his aviation career at the Air Force High School in Dęblin and later gained experience at the United States Air Force Academy. His passion for flying was often compared to the film character Maverick – he directly inspired younger generations of soldiers and pilots.
