In a world where daily police reports abound in serious crime, there is sometimes a story that sounds like a storyline of family comedy.This time, fenced law enforcement became heroes of an unusual case: they recovered a "hitted" gorilla. No, it's not any wild beast from the jungle –we are talking about a decorative figure that has become the heart of the decor of one of the chock restaurants. This story, though funny at first glance, recalls the importance of police involvement in even seemingly trivial matters.

Stealing, gorilla

It all started a few weeks ago in Płock's heart.From one of the popular restaurants the icon of the decor disappeared – a tall, impressive gorilla figure made of durable material. The restaurant owners treated it not only as an ornament, but as a symbol of their business."Goryl was an honorary guest at the entrance – attracted customers' eyesight and gave the place a unique climate"– the representatives of the premises mention in an interview with the police.

The theft was not accidental:The unsub acted premeditatedly, bringing out the figure at night when the premises were empty. The value of the lost "animal" was estimated at nearly PLN 3 thousand. Initially, the owners thought of ordinary vandalism, but quickly reported the case to the police. And rightly so, because as it turned out, this "hijacked gorilla" was supposed to come home sooner than anyone could have imagined.

Police Pursuit: From Plock to Kutna

The case came into the hands of experienced officers from the Crime Division against the property of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Płock. TO them, under the command of the horseshoes. Monika Jakubowska, They took the job. "Our investigation started in full steam – we checked surveillance, interrogated witnesses and analyzed leads," he reports in an official police release.

The search quickly gained momentum.The police found a trail leading beyond Plock's borders, to the neighboring Kutnowski County. There, in a hidden place, a figure was found – whole and intact. "It was like a scene from the action film: we entered the place, secured the evidence and... we gently loaded the gorilla into the police car" – they joke unofficially with the uniform. The retrieved statue, weighing several dozen kilograms, resisted and traveled peacefully back to Płock.

When he arrived at the gorilla station, he did not immediately enter the restaurant. Instead, for the time of the formality, he took an honorary seat next to... Christmas tree. "It was a mema-worthy sight – our 'new recruit' in the police environment added a radiance of Christmas Eve atmosphere" laughs one of the command staff.

Accusations and Reflections: Punishment for "hijacking"

The conclusion of the case is as satisfying as the beginning intriguing.A 28-year-old resident of the region, suspected of stealing, was detained and heard charges. The man confessed to his guilt, explaining that he acted under impulse. He's facing up to five years of imprisonment.– a reminder that even stealing decorations has consequences.

Restaurant owners do not hide relief and gratitude. "They admitted to doubting that the gorilla would return to his honorable place"– the police report. Today the figure stands again at the station, welcoming guests and reminding them of the strength of the local community. "Thank the police for their determination. It is not only a recovery of the object, but also a sense of security" - added representatives of the premises.
