A police Ford Mustang GT that recently joined the Masovian police fleet was damaged in a collision. The car, the first marked Mustang in Poland confiscated from a drunk driver, crashed after only a few months of service.
The incident happened today, Thursday, July 9, 2026, at around 12:30 p.m. on Radomska Street in Milejowice (Radom County).
What Happened?
An officer from the Radom traffic police was driving the Mustang to an emergency call with priority signals (flashing lights and sirens) on. While overtaking other vehicles, the driver of a Volkswagen began turning left into a property.
As a result of the collision:
- The police Mustang hit the property’s fence,
- The Volkswagen drove into a ditch.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Police officers worked at the scene, and traffic was being directed in alternating one-lane flow.
Mustang in Service Since March
The famous patrol car was officially unveiled on March 17, 2026. It was assigned to the Road Traffic Department of the Radom Municipal Police Headquarters as the first marked Ford Mustang GT in Poland confiscated from a driver who had operated it under the influence of alcohol.
The car quickly became one of the most recognizable units in the Masovian police and regularly appeared in photos and videos on social media.
For now, it is unclear whether the Mustang will remain in use after repairs, or whether its service has ended after such a short time.
