As early as mid-November, Poland is waiting for a real winter with the first snow. Forecasts predict that the white puch will appear on 15 November, starting from the north of the country, and by the end of the month it will cover almost the whole of Poland. This is an important signal especially for drivers who have not yet changed tires to winter.

Winter forecast in Poland – when will it snow?
According to the latest forecasts of synoptics, the first snowfall is expected about 15 November 2025 in the north of Poland and in mountain areas. The white cover will then move southward and cover almost the entire country by the end of November.
Synoptics predict that from 20 to 25 November frost can be already 24 hours old, and snow will significantly persist, especially in northern and central regions. In the belt from Lower Silesia, through the Earth Łódź to Masovia can fall up to 25 centimeters of snow in a short time.
What about changing tires to winter?
Changing tyres to winter is a safety obligation, although there is no legal order in Poland when to do so. Experts recommend that winter tyres be fitted when the temperature falls below 7 degrees Celsius.
By 2025, as early as mid-November, temperatures will often remain below this limit, so drivers should not delay replacing tyres. Especially those who drive in the evenings or in regions where the temperature falls faster at night should take care of winter tires as soon as possible to avoid problems on the road at first snow.
How do you recognize the moment to change tires?
- Average day temperature from 6 to 7 degrees and less
- First frosts and slippery surfaces appear
- Forecasts indicate coming snowfall
Changing tires sooner than winter frosts can be unprofitable and too late threatens with dangerous traffic situations.
The Effects of Winter on Daily Life
Winter is not only snow and lower temperatures, but also changes in daily rhythm and safety. White cover changes conditions on roads and pavements, forcing more caution.

What's worth doing?
- Prepare clothes and equipment for freezing
- Regularly check weather forecasts
- For drivers: accurately control the condition of tyres and brakes
- Secure installations at home from frost
Thanks to these winter preparations we will not be surprised negatively, and daily operation will become more comfortable.
Winter 2025 will come sooner than usual, and snow will cover Poland from mid-November, starting from the north and the mountains. Drivers should not hesitate to trade tyres for winter, as the conditions on the roads may quickly deteriorate. Forecasts indicate solid rainfall and strong frosts from around 20 November, which requires proper preparation – both in terms of clothing and equipment.
