In the world of TV reality shows, finales this thrilling are rare. In the latest season of “Afryka Express” on TVN, the couple Michał Mikołajczak and Edyta Zając overcame all the obstacles and took first place in the programme’s final.
Who are the winners of "Afryka Express"?
Michał Mikołajczak, a well-known actor and winner of the third edition of the programme “Agent – Gwiazdy”, and Edyta Zając, a popular model and influencer, have been a couple for several years. Their relationship often features in the media, and taking part in “Afryka Express” was their joint reality-show debut as a duo. Michał, raised in Zelów, gained fame through roles in series and films, while Edyta, from Łódź, won fans’ hearts with her charisma and lifestyle.
In the programme the couple had to face extreme conditions: travelling on a minimal budget through Kenya and Tanzania, and tasks demanding physical strength and cunning. As they admitted in interviews, the experience strengthened their bond. “We were damn tired, but together we survived everything” – Edyta commented after one of the episodes.
Programme overview and road to the final
“Afryka Express” is the seventh edition of the popular format, previously known as “Azja Express” and “Ameryka Express”. In this season, hosted by Izabela Krzan, eight celebrity pairs competed to survive in the African setting. Contestants had only one dollar a day per person at their disposal, which forced them to be creative in finding transport, food and accommodation.
Michał and Edyta stood out from the start for their strategy and teamwork. In the semi-final, aired on 15 November 2025, they beat the competition and advanced to the final alongside Monika Hoffman-Piszora with her sister Iga, and Nikodem Rozbicki with Paweł Kurkowski. The finale episode, aired on 22 November 2025, featured surprising tasks – from physical contests to cultural challenges, such as trying local dishes.
Ultimately, it was the Mikołajczak-Zając couple who first reached the finish line, winning the programme. Viewers even accused them of “cheating” in earlier episodes, but the production confirmed that everything had been fair play.
What's next for Michał and Edyta?
After the win, the couple plans to rest, but is already announcing new projects. Michał mentioned a possible wedding: “Africa brought us closer, who knows what the future holds”. Edyta is focusing on her modelling and influencer career, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The couple decided to give the cash prize to one of the families who hosted them during filming.
