In the television world, reality shows rarely have such exciting finals. In the latest edition of "Africa Express" on TVN, the couple Michał Mikołajczak and Edyta Zając defeated all obstacles and won first place in the final of the program.
Who are the winners of Africa Express?
Michał Mikołajczak, a well-known actor and winner of the third edition of the "Agent – Stars" program, and Edyta Zając, a popular model and influencer, have been creating a couple for several years. Their coverage often appears in the media, and their participation in the "Africa Express" was their joint debut on the reality show as a duo. Michał, raised in Zelów, gained fame thanks to roles in series and films, while Edyta, from Łódź, conquered fans' hearts with her charisma and lifestyle.
In the program, the couple faced extreme conditions: travel with a minimum budget in Kenya and Tanzania, tasks requiring physical strength and cunning. As they themselves admitted in interviews, this experience strengthened their bond. "We were damn tired, but together we survived everything," Edyta commented after one episode.
Programme run and way to final
"Africa Express" is the seventh edition of the popular format, formerly known as "Asia Express" or "America Express". This season, led by Isabella Krzan, eight pairs of stars competed for survival in the African scenery. Participants had at their disposal only a dollar a day per person, which forced them to be creative in seeking transport, food and accommodation.
Michał and Edyta were distinguished from the beginning by strategy and cooperation. In the semi-final, aired on 15 November 2025, they defeated the competition, entering the final alongside Monika Hoffman-Pishory with Iga's sister and Nikodem Rozbicki with Paweł Kurkowski. The final episode, aired on November 22, 2025, abounded in surprising tasks – from physical competition to cultural challenges, such as trying local dishes.
In the end, it was the pair of Mikołajczak-Bay that first reached the finish line, winning the program. Spectators even accused them of fraud in earlier episodes, but production confirmed that everything was held fair play.
What's next for Michael and Edith?
After winning, the couple plans to rest, but already announces new projects. Michael mentioned a possible wedding: "Africa has brought us closer, who knows what the future will bring." Edyta focuses on modeling and influence careers, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The couple decided to donate a cash prize to one of the families that hosted them during the recordings.
