A popular streamer and youtube IShowSpeed, known for its crazy challenges and energy transmission, conquered the Internet with another extreme event – a race against a cheetah in South Africa! 20-year-old Darren Watkins Jr., because his real name is Speed, made available a video of the event on the X platform, where it quickly became viral, scoring over 48 million views in just a few hours. In the clip we see him shirtless, in black shorts, preparing for a sprint on desert terrain, with a cheetah as a rival.
The race took place in a cheetah reservation in South Africa, where Speed resides – during his tour of Africa. On the video, which lasts about 30 seconds, you can see the streamer setting up at the start next to the cheetah homestead. After deducting "3, 2, 1" they both start – Speed runs with full power, and cheetah, the fastest land animal in the world, capable of a speed of over 100 km/h, quickly precedes it. However, the streamer holds the pace surprisingly well, losing only a "foot", as fans have noticed. At first, you can see the cheetah scratching Speed's leg slightly.

IShowSpeed, with over 20 million subscribers on YouTube and Twitch, is famous for such crazy actions – from jumping to a crocodile pool to challenges from Ronaldo. This race is another hit that conquers algorithms and inspires discussions about content limits. Was the cheetah trained and the challenge safe? The organizers of the reserve ensure that yes, but environmentalists warn against animal stress for entertainment. Speed has already announced more adventures from Africa.
