Well-known journalist and TV presenter Filip Chajzer is facing enormous stress. His dog, a white Lagotto Romagnolo named Rollo, disappeared in the area of Konstancin, near Warsaw. Chajzer immediately published an urgent appeal on social media, asking anyone who had seen the dog to get in touch.

Concern was already evident in his first post:

„My beloved dog Rollo has gone missing. Breed: Lagotto Romagnolo. He was last seen in the area of Konstancin. I will be grateful for any information. I’m damn worried…”

Details of the Disappearance – What Happened?

Rollo is a young, very friendly dog, microchipped and trusting toward people. He was last seen near the garage while the car was being packed – he most likely wandered off for a moment when no one was watching. Witnesses said the dog quickly disappeared from view.

Versions of Events

• Building security in the area mentioned that the dog may have left with an unknown woman. She may have taken the animal, perhaps out of kindness, seeing a lonely dog.
• The incident resembles many cases in which lost animals end up in the hands of random people – not always with intent to steal.

Was it theft, or a moment of carelessness?

For now there is no evidence of theft – the most likely scenario is that the dog ran off when the garage was opened, and a passerby quickly reacted, deciding to take in the animal, thinking it had been lost.

Similar situations have happened before. Filip Chajzer himself has stressed how important a microchip and cooperation with the community are. Thanks to this, in a previous case his pet returned to its owner within a few hours after the finder handed the dog to a veterinarian, who read the data from the microchip.

What to Do If You See a Lost Dog?

1. Secure the animal – not every dog is friendly.
2. Check whether it has a tag or a microchip (you can go to the nearest veterinarian).
3. Contact the owner, if possible.
4. Notify the local animal shelter or Facebook groups dedicated to lost animals.
