Record Bonuses for Champions – How Much Did Poland Earn for Winning the 2025 Nations League?

For winning this year’s edition of the Nations League, the Polish team received an impressive $1,000,000, which converts to over 3.7 million zloty. This is the largest financial prize provided for the winners of this tournament – exactly the same sum that champions collected in previous years. Poland beat Italy 3:0 in the final and claimed the trophy for the second time in history.

How Are the Nations League Prizes Divided?

The prize table looks as follows:

PlacePrize in USDPrize in PLN (at a rate of approx. 3.7)
1st place (Poland)1,000,0003,700,000
2nd place (Italy)500,0001,850,000
3rd place (Brazil)300,0001,110,000
4th place180,000666,000

The prizes are paid to the federation, which then divides them according to the association’s internal arrangements. The final “payout” for an individual player therefore depends on the policy of the Polish Volleyball Association (PZPS).

Additional Awards and Individual Honours

Victory is not everything! The organisers also planned individual bonuses:

  • Tournament MVP: $30,000 (approx. 110,000 PLN)
  • Players in the “Dream Team”: $10,000 each (approx. 37,000 PLN)

A special committee decides who receives the honours. For example, if a Polish player is chosen as MVP, his earnings will rise by another tens of thousands of zloty.

How Do These Amounts Compare to Other Competitions?

Prizes in the Nations League are very competitive – for comparison, winning the Volleyball Club World Championship brings clubs as much as several million dollars, but in the case of national team competitions, the current bonus is a record.
