Maria Kowalczuk She is an Ukrainian model who left for Dubai in March 2025 with the hope of developing a modeling career. Unfortunately, her stay in the United Arab Emirates ended in drama. She was brutally beaten and badly injured, resulting in multiple months of hospitalization and permanent health consequences.
Dubai Nightmare

In mid-March, the model was found bloody on one of the roads in Dubai, with serious injuries, including broken spine and limbs. The police initially told the story that she had fallen from a height on the site, but Mary and her family strongly denied this thesis, claiming she was a victim of assault and violence.
Maria told that she had made contact with a man who offered to help her when she arrived in Dubai. They met at a karaoke bar. Soon Maria was in dangerous company, including among the children of wealthy Russian and Ukrainian businessmen, where she was physically attacked. She described multiple aggression, intimidation, and imprisonment, which developed into a real nightmare. The men were violent towards her, they poked her, they made fun of her, they smashed the bottles, and they threatened to do whatever they wanted with her." Her personal effects were taken, including her passport, and one of the girls stole and put on her clothes.
Maria also reported that after refusing to approach them she was brutally beaten. She managed to escape to a construction site where she was found by random passersby. She was reported missing for a week.
The current health of the model
After several surgeries, Maria recovered, currently under the care of her mother in Norway, moving in a wheelchair or about bullets. The model's mother criticizes the behaviour of the dubian police, who in her opinion underestimated the case, allowing the suspects to be released too quickly and the evidence lost. Among the main suspects of the assault is Artem Papazov, the son of a Donetsk businessman who, according to Maria's family, was detained by the dubian police, but quickly released, most likely as a result of pressure and corruption.
