Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson once again proved that he is not only Hollywood’s biggest star, but also a man with a huge heart.
A few days ago, pupils at a British primary school recorded a funny video in which they asked The Rock to reply to their post about the upcoming premiere of the movie “Moana 2”. They promised the kids that if The Rock replied, they would take the whole school to the cinema.
The Rock did more than just reply.
He rented an entire cinema for one day, invited all the pupils along with their families, and paid for tickets, popcorn, drinks and sweets. Hundreds of children lived a real fairytale – all thanks to one man.
On Instagram, The Rock wrote: “You promised them a cinema trip if I replied… so I figured we’d do it right. See you at the movies, team!”
The video of the children’s surprise and their reactions went viral around the world, gathering tens of millions of views within a dozen or so hours.
This is not the first time Dwayne Johnson has done something big for his fans. In the past he has regularly helped people in need, supported children’s hospitals and funded scholarships. This time, however, he showed absolute class – he fulfilled the dream not of one child, but of an entire school.
In an age when celebrities are often accused of being out of touch with reality, The Rock’s gesture is like balm for the soul.
Who wouldn’t want an idol like that?
