According to the Chancellery of the Sejm on platform X, resignation will enter into force in five days – 18 November. During this time, the Holovnia will hand over its duties and the Sejm will elect a new Marshal. According to the coalition agreement, the position is likely to be taken by Vladimir Czarzasta of the Left. During the press conference, Hołownia presented a report on the "Seym without barriers", summarising its achievements, including increasing transparency and citizens' participation in the legislative process.

The Holovnia is running for the position of UNHCR, as confirmed in an interview with Polsat News. "It is not an easy moment, but I believe that I can serve Poland internationally," he said. Critics see it as an escape from internal conflicts in the coalition, especially after poor results in the 2025 presidential election.
Reactions: From praise to treason charges
Holowna's decision triggered a storm in social media and politics. On the X platform, many users call it "Judash" or "traitor", accusing of abandoning voters. "Finally, there is a chance that this pest will disappear," writes one commentator. Others praise: "Thank you for order in the Sejm, it was a change for the better." The politicians of KO and Left express regret, but emphasise the continuation of reforms.
The opposition, like Dariusz Matecki of the PiS, resembles the "abuse of power" and "political theatre". On the other hand, supporters of Holowna, such as Kacper Kamiński, write: "This is a loss to parliamentaryism – the Sejm is as open as ever today".
Property and Future: What Is Waiting for Holovnia?
After Holownia leaves, he will remain an MP, but his focus moves to the UN. His property statement shows a stable financial situation: home, savings and no debts. If he wins the UNHCR chief competition, he will become the first Pole in this position in years.
