There has been an incredible scandal in the Sejm. At the meeting of the Parliamentary Group on Children's Protection in the Parent's Separation Process, a man who isSentenced for sexual misconduct against the child and entered in the public pedophile register.His presence aroused outrage and many questions about the procedures for inviting experts.
How did this happen?
The meeting of the team, which took place on 4 August, was to cover, among others, maintenance boards, namely legal issues concerning children in the separation processes of parents. A person was invited as a representative of a social organization and allowed to vote in session. The procedures of the Sejm's pass office check the past of individuals for court sentences or for ban on entry into parliament. However, the verification did not include a specific sex offender register, which allowed the convicted paedophile to participate.
Reactions and outrage
The participants in the meeting and social organisations expressed strong opposition. Danuta Zduńczyk, president of the Association "Self-parents", talks about a serious violation of the principles of parliamentary ethics and trust in public institutions. Magdalena Kobiałko, President of the Association BolovamZabardzo, emphasises that the participation of the sentenced person for the use of the child is absolutely unacceptable and shows well how important verification is in the relevant registers.
What does the Sejm say?
Mr Marcin Józefaciuk, chairman of the team that held the meeting, admitted that the situation was extremely unpleasant and scandalous. He ensured that the procedures would now be tightened up and that the verification of persons invited to similar meetings would include a review of the pedophile register to prevent a repeat of such an incident. At the same time, he stressed that the meeting was held in accordance with the current procedures and that no one was exposed.
Left under fire – who is responsible?
It was the Levites who organized meetings of a team to protect children. Paradoxically, they allowed the pedophile to be given the role of expert and could present legislative proposals on the safety of the youngest. Questions about responsibility are not silent: was verification of invited guests aware of the shocking negligence? More and more voices are being accused of the lack of basic caution and unacceptable procedural errors.

The Courageous Response of Luke Litewka
While most politicians were silent, Luke Litevka made a clear and firm comment on the issue on social media. His Facebook speech touched the Internet.
„It's okay, but this gentleman is a pedophile. [...] A pedophile in the role of expert in the Sejm... Scandal? No, that's too small a word. This is ***** Unbelievable. Children are the most important and all must be safe.„
Litevka was not afraid to name things by name and directly blamed the organizers – the politicians of the Left. He pointed out that Members' silence and lack of any response deepened the crisis of confidence in state institutions.
At a time when politicians often avoid difficult subjects, Luke Litewka’s attitude deserves special recognition. His voice became a symbol of the struggle for child safety and of demanding responsibility from politicians.
Change of procedures and settlement of the guilty
The event shows how the security rules in the Sejm should be reviewed urgently. The Left must answer questions about its role in the organization of the team and the verification of the guests. Child protection cannot be a field for experimentation or negligence.
