On February 26, 2026, in the village of Kadłub, 17-year-old Łukasz G. committed a brutal double homicide in the district of opolszczyz. Armed with an ax, he murdered his 38-year-old stepfather and 87-year-old great-grandmother, with whom he lived under the same roof, inflicting numerous cuts and cuts.

After the crime, a teenager recorded the course of the incident and posted on YouTube his last statement, in which he admitted guilt and stated, among others, that "in my opinion murder is part of life", explaining the act of mobbing at work and family tensions.

After the attack, he escaped from his home and was detained after a few hours of rounding in the bushes on the River Pełłoga, about 45 kilometres from the site of the tragedy.

Opolska police are investigating under the supervision of the D.A., at the same time appealing to the media and Internet users for respect for victims and not providing drastic footage from the scene.
