Janusz Michałowski, one of the most characteristic Polish theatre and television actors, died. He was 89. For decades, he delighted viewers with roles in the Television Theatre, where he created many memorable characters.
Actor was born January 1, 1937 Augustów. Cause of death hasn't been officially reported yet.
On Facebook, the Mayor of Augustov provided information in a short entry:
"Unfortunately, very sad information came to me from Warsaw. Janusz Michałowski – Augustówian, outstanding, died actorThe real ambassador of our city.
I had the honor of meeting Mr. Janusz. He was an absolutely exceptional character. Full of class, extraordinary charisma and warmth, and at the same time always carrying Augustus deeply in his heart. About his hometown, he was able to tell with incredible passion, promoting them wherever he would appear.
His departure deeply touched me. This is a huge loss not only to Polish culture, but to Augustov. A man of great format is gone.
I offer my deepest sympathy to the family and the Middle.
