On Saturday around 1:00 p.m. in one of the single-family houses on Platanowa Street in Rybnik, the service discovered a gruesome find. Two men aged 68 and 41 were found in the building. The bodies did not bear visible external injuries. The D.A.'s decision was secured for autopsy, and police are conducting investigations.
Unofficial information indicates that the deceased are former Prosecutor of the Katowice Appeals Prosecutor's Office Jerzy H. and his son. Men lived together in this house. Jerzy H. in the past was sentenced to the punishment of ruthless imprisonment for extortion of PLN 1.7 million. The scandal broke out in 2002 after the publication of "Newsweek".
The investigation revealed that between 1993 and 2002 the prosecutor was to urge entrepreneurs from Silesia and Zagrzenia to "support" the prosecutor's office under the pretext of purchasing equipment. In fact, money went into his pocket, and companies received false invoices. The life style of the prosecutor – luxury BMW and the house in Rybnik – was drastically different from official earnings.
The son of the deceased also had conflicts with the law in the past. So far, no details are known regarding the causes of both men's death. The announcement of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Rybnik only confirms finding two bodies and no injuries. The autopsy is supposed to explain the circumstances of the tragedy.
