Binance Poland has informed customers that it will close their accounts on 31 December 2026. Before that, on 29 November and 24 December, it will charge a custody fee of 0.025% of the balance, but no less than 10 USDC.
The information comes from an email Binance Poland sent to customers on 6 November. The exchange explains the decision by the lack of a MiCA license, which it did not obtain by 30 June 2026. From 1 July it has not accepted deposits from customers in Poland, has disabled trading, and in the Convert service has left only sales to PLN, EUR and USDC. Crypto and EUR withdrawals still work.
How the fee is calculated
According to Binance’s message, it sets the balance at 23:59 UTC on the charging day (29 November and 24 December) and collects the fee within the following three days. The rate is 0.025% of the value of assets, but no less than 10 USDC per charge. The fee is collected in USDC; if there is not enough USDC, the exchange takes other assets, converted at the rate from the calculation day.
The threshold above which the percentage rate applies is 40,000 USDC. With a balance of 1,000 USDC, one charge costs 10 USDC, so two dates total 20 USDC (2% of the balance). With 100,000 USDC, one charge is 25 USDC. If less than 10 USDC remains in the account, the fee will cover the entire remaining amount.
What happens to assets after 31 December
According to the message, after accounts are closed Binance may treat an account as inactive and exchange the remaining assets for others, transfer them, or handle them in another way provided for in the terms. Binance Poland’s terms and conditions provide, among other things, for the possibility of charging a monthly fee for a dormant account and closing an inactive account at any time.
How to avoid the fees
To avoid paying the first fee, the withdrawal must be completed before the balance is set on 29 November. A withdrawal before 24 December allows you to avoid the second one. The withdrawal itself may involve a separate network fee. Funds can be sent to your own wallet or to an exchange that supports the given cryptocurrency and network.
Binance reminds customers that it does not call them and does not ask for passwords, 2FA codes or private keys. The exchange says it is still seeking a MiCA license.
Binance has communicated the same rules to customers in France: account closure on 31 December and fees from 29 November.
