A new way of stealing cars in Warsaw. Thieves strip cars under blocks

The inhabitants of Bielan are alarmed, a new, exceptionally impudent method of theft has appeared in Warsaw. Unknown perpetrators at night disassemble masks, bumpers, headlights, and grills from parked cars, leaving vehicles literally "empty" in the residential parking lot.

Today NEXTA reported the case Poland on the X platform. According to local accounts, thieves particularly liked cars that stand still for several days. One of the victims returned after the weekend and found her Toyota in a miserable condition – the front part of the car was completely undressed.

You can see cars with completely exposed engines, without masks, bumpers and lamps.

How do thieves work?

The inhabitants of Bielan are convinced that the perpetrators first observe the vehicles, and then at night at a rapid pace disassemble the most valuable and easily transferable elements. The stolen parts then go to the black market or to illegal car workshops.

Comments under NEXTA's post are sharp. Internet users point to "eastern methods" and speculate that groups involved in the trade of parts may be behind the practice (e.g. suggestions about Georgian or Ukrainian teams). One commentator wrote: "The Georgian taxi mafias Uber and Bolt act quickly. What do you need most? Sheet metal elements of the front part of vehicles and wheels with good tires."

Others add: "Typically Eastern methods" and "Let us invite other nations to our country...".

This is not the first case of such a thing in the capital, but the scale and insolence (disassembly right under the blocks) has upset the local community.
