The 2025 presidential election is over: the National Electoral Commission (PKW) has announced the official final results. Emotions are running high, as no candidate won a majority and a decisive runoff lies ahead. Find out who will contest the presidency and how Poles voted.
Official results of the 2025 presidential election
After counting 100% of the votes, the PKW confirmed that the winner of the first round was Rafał Trzaskowski. He received 31.36% of the vote, giving him a lead of 1.82 percentage points over Karol Nawrocki, who won 29.54% support. These two candidates will face each other in the runoff, scheduled for 1 June 2025.

Turnout was 67.08%, with 19,689,597 valid ballots out of 29,352,340 eligible voters, showing that Poles turned out in large numbers.
Who will compete for the presidency? Trzaskowski vs Nawrocki
In the runoff, Rafał Trzaskowski, the candidate of the Civic Coalition (KO), will face Karol Nawrocki, backed by Law and Justice (PiS). The gap between them is just 356,993 votes, which promises a particularly fierce battle in the final round.
