A modern electric car factory is to be built in Jaworzno. By 2035 it is to create close 4 000 jobs directly in the plant, and throughout the supply chain even 20 000 jobs. It is one of the largest industrial investments in the region in years.
The President of EMP, Cyprian Gronkiewicz, informed that the start of the construction of the factory is planned for Spring 2027, subject to a joint venture agreement with a strategic partner this autumn. First electric cars to pull off the tape at the end 2029.
Large scale of investment
The new factory is to be one of the key elements of the development of electromobility in Poland. The investment is not only to create thousands of jobs, but also to attract components and components suppliers to the region, which will translate into additional impetus for the local economy.
Jaworzno, located in the Silesian Voivodeship, has been trying to attract modern industrial investments for years. The construction of an electric car factory is part of the transformation of the region after the coal age.

The decision to start construction will depend on the signing of a joint venture with a strategic partner. If everything goes as planned, in less than three years, construction will begin in Jaworzno, and the first electric cars will leave the factory in late 2029.
The investment has a chance to become one of the most important in the Polish automotive industry in the coming years.
