In practice, this means that manufactured and sold tobacco products after 18 January 2026, which contain fruit flavours, menthols, etc., will not be available.

Salesmen have nine months to sell their stock.

This is another such change in recent years. In May 2020, Menthol cigarettes disappeared from the shops, now their tobacco-heating counterparts disappear. Most likely the next target may be the so-called liquids for e-cigarettes.
